What is Thai Bodywork?

This unique healing system combines acupressure, stretching, and assisted yoga postures to gently lengthen muscles, mobilize joints, and unblock and balance energy pathways.

Unlike typical massage, Thai Bodywork doesn’t involve lying on a massage bed. Instead, you remain fully clothed on a mat while a practitioner uses stretching, pulling and rocking techniques to relieve tension, promote relaxation and improve flexibility and circulation.

Yoga therapy is a customized application of yoga teachings and practices to provide an integrative approach toward wellness. Using yoga techniques such as meditation, breath-work, postural analysis, muscle testing, myofascial release, and movement, your yoga therapist develops and implements a plan of care based on your individual goals and needs. Yoga therapy can be its own practice or be used as a complementary treatment alongside psychotherapy, physical therapy, and other medical modalities. Some of the benefits of yoga therapy include, but are not limited to:

• Nervous system regulation

• Musculoskeletal imbalances

• Improved athletic performance

• Cultivate mindfulness and redefine wellbeing

For your first yoga therapy session, we will discuss your past medical history, current concerns and conditions, and your intentions for seeking out yoga therapy. I will conduct breath and postural assessments, provide muscle testing, and meditation.

Additionally, I will provide you with a plan of care to allow you to continue your yoga therapy at home between sessions.

Follow-up sessions will build on the initial work and adapt according to your response to the initial plan of care.

Studies show that incorporating yoga into the work day improves performance, job satisfaction, relationships, and overall quality of life. Offered in person or virtually, corporate yoga classes are designed to meet the specific needs of each individual business.

Reiki is a form of energy healing used to promote the body’s relaxation response and natural healing ability. It is not a religion, nor is it based on any belief system. Reiki can be offered with or without touch, in person or at a distance. The person receiving Reiki healing is fully clothed while reclining on a massage table or seated in a chair. If the session is done with touch, the Reiki practitioner will place their hands at different healing points on the body. If the person receiving Reiki prefers not to be touched, the practitioner will hold their hands above the healing points of the body. Reiki is not a substitute for medical or psychological diagnosis and treatment. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions, nor do they prescribe or perform medical treatment or substances, nor do they interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. Many people report that a Reiki session has helped improve their sleep, reduced pain and anxiety, and gives them a general feeling of peacefulness.

Sound Healing is an ancient wellness practice that harnesses the power of sound vibration to promote healing, relaxation, and self-care. Let me explain what a sound healing session involves and how it affects your mind and body:

Sound healing or vibrational medicine, uses instruments, music, tones and other sonic vibration to balance and heal the body, mind and sprit.

It creates a therapeutic atmosphere to promote deep rest, nervous system rebalancing, and emotional release.

During a sound healing session, you’ll encounter various overtone-emitting instruments, such as: chimes, gongs, singing bowls and drums.

What to expect in a session:

You’ll lie down in a cozy and comfortable space, close your eyes and let sound wash over you. The therapist will play a variety of instruments specific to your needs. You will feel the vibration as well as hear the music, it can create a deep sense of relaxation, sometimes even reaching a dreamlike state.

Sound healing is a transformative practice that utilizes the vibrations and frequencies produced by various instruments. These healing frequencies have a profound impact on our energy field and cellular structure.

Reiki aims to restore the natural flow of energy within the body. Reiki practitioners channel universal life force energy into the recipient, promoting relaxation, balance and well-being.

When combined with sound healing Reiki’s effects are amplified, allowing a deeper release of tension, stress and emotional blockages. In these sessions Rebecca will provide Reiki as Mandy plays a variety of sound instruments.
